When a tree flourishes with lush green leaves, colourful flowers, and juicy fruits, it is not only growing for itself but also providing substantial support to others. That is why the roots of such a tree are deeply anchored. By forging a strong connection with the soil, the tree not only strengthens its leaves and roots but also prepares to offer bountiful fruits and flowers for many generations to come. It becomes a sanctuary for countless birds… There is a similar analogy with Advocate Uday Gulabrao Shelke's personality. His roots are deeply embedded in cultural values and principles, which draw their strength from the ideologies and thoughts of Solicitor Gulabrao Shelke.
Solicitor Gulabrao Shelke dedicated his entire life to the development of people and the welfare of the younger generation in rural areas. He constantly envisioned how the future of rural youth could be made brighter. It was his dream to make higher education facilities accessible to the younger generation. Following in his father's footsteps, Advocate Uday Gulabrao Shelke has, with determination, made outstanding contributions to society through various initiatives.
For the past five decades, the Shelke family has consistently sought to make meaningful contributions to the fields of co-operation, education, and agriculture. We aim to carry forward the tradition of public service cherished by the Shelke family through this institution.

Rural students need to be academically empowered, and farmers should have access to modern technology and facilities. This was the vision of Solicitor Gulabrao Shelke, the founder chairman of G.S. Mahangar Bank, and his accomplished son, Adv. Uday Gulabrao Shelke, the chairman of G.S. Mahangar Bank, who dedicated their lives to social service. I am committed to continuing their legacy of social service and fulfilling the dreams they had for society.
After serving as a director at G.S. Mahangar Bank and Ahmednagar District Bank, I established the ‘Uday Gulabrao Shelke Foundation’, a charitable organisation that works for the benefit of the general public. Solicitor Gulabrao Shelke and Adv. Uday Gulabrao Shelke always focused on the welfare of society. They consistently ran various training programmes for the education of rural students, the bright future of the younger generation, the interests of farmers, and women’s empowerment. I will continue to work towards these goals through the foundation.
